“I built my career by recognizing cultural change before most organizations did. My lived experience became strategic advantage. Today, I help leaders navigate what comes next.”
My Story

I began my career in marketing in 1998, when few organizations viewed culture as a business strategy and “multicultural marketing” had yet to enter the mainstream. Long before demographic change became a boardroom conversation, I recognized that understanding people — their identities, cultural values and lived experiences — would become one of the defining competitive advantages of the future.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve advised Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, public institutions and founders at the intersection of marketing, communications, public affairs, research and public trust, helping organizations understand the people they serve before markets, culture and consumer expectations evolve around them.
I wasn’t drawn to this work by market research alone. I lived it. Born in Mexico, raised in the United States by immigrant parents, and becoming the first in my family to graduate from college gave me an early understanding of how culture shapes identity, trust and human behavior.
In 2009, I left a successful agency career to build TORRES Multicultural from a spare bedroom — long before culturally intelligent communications were widely understood or valued. What began as lived experience became one of Arizona’s leading multicultural strategy firms, trusted to help lead engagement on billion-dollar infrastructure projects, statewide civic initiatives and campaigns that have helped organizations build authentic relationships with the communities they serve.
My work has evolved beyond multicultural communications into executive strategic advisory. Today, I work with a select group of CEOs, founders, executive teams and public leaders navigating demographic transformation, artificial intelligence, shifting consumer expectations and the growing importance of trust in an increasingly complex world.
Organizations don’t bring me in simply because I understand culture — they bring me in because I help them recognize emerging patterns, anticipate change and make smarter decisions before everyone else catches up. That’s where cultural strategy becomes competitive advantage.
“The future belongs to leaders who understand what others miss before the market catches up.”

1998 — 2026
Ahead of the Curve
I began my marketing career in 1998 working for a leading advertising agency, educational institution and international nonprofit organization. While multicultural marketing wasn't yet widely recognized and Latino representation inside the industry was scarce, I recognized early that America's future would increasingly be shaped by multicultural communities.
Betting on the Future
With a broken laptop and no safety net, I launched TORRES Multicultural in 2009 because I believed culture would become business strategy. Founded during Arizona's SB 1070 era, it became the state's longest-standing multicultural marketing agency — proving cultural fluency is a competitive advantage.
Scaling Trust
Organizations increasingly trusted me to lead national advertising campaigns and multi-state civic engagement initiatives. That momentum led to our downtown Phoenix headquarters, Luna Culture Lab and Chingona Soles Stiletto Art Show — expanding my work beyond advising organizations to building communities rooted in culture, creativity and trust.
Evolving with Change
As the world transformed, so did my work. I reimagined TORRES Multicultural for a new era by embracing innovation, integrating AI and helping leaders navigate political, cultural and technological shifts with clarity, confidence and purpose.
Recognition Follows
Industry awards, business recognitions, and published thought leadership followed decades of helping organizations navigate change through cultural intelligence. Each milestone reflected the same principle that has guided my career: seeing what's next and helping others prepare for it.
What's Next
What began as multicultural strategy has evolved into trusted executive counsel. By client demand, today I work with a select group of executives, founders, organizations and public leaders navigating growth, cultural intelligence, stakeholder trust and the decisions that shape the future.
